"after midnight in the north highlands of scotland i went outside for last smoke and as usual i looked up as the sky was clear spotting the plough and the north star. below the ploughs bottom left star point approximately half the distance between it and the one above it in the constilation there was a flash i laughed inwardly and joked for it to flash again ,it did about 8 seconds later... it never did again as i watched. i have been confused regarding this incident and wondered if there could have been a neuclear explosion or a star explosion in outer space i have not looked into any possibilities of any sightings at that time . it was not a plane as the distance away was vast. the second flash was in the same position as the first was and i have no idea what could have produced these star like flashes. "
