SIGHTING: KAHULUI, HAWAII (UNITED STATES)
Witness Testimony
"we first saw them from the NW flying over west maui mountains mount Kukui aprox 5500ftmsl ...flew to SW .. so this was viewed from our right to left over a distance of aprox 30 miles...when over maui's main valley 2 craft turned 90degrees towards kahoolawe island, 4 flew straight SW and over the southern slope of mt. Haleakala at aprox the 5000ft level.. the 2 that turned left to kahoolawe left a short very, very faint green trail just a whisp...they were 6 of us outside because our guests were leaving for home... we were in awe and I could not get my video camera as they would have flew out of sight by then.... I have been a pilot since the late 70's and are pretty sure of the altitude and heading... they were in our vision aprox 10 or less minutes,, aprox speed maybe 600mph... what was the most stiking was their light.... a avocado green but super bright like a TIG welding light but no wavering just a steady sparkling kind of light!!! like a star that doesn't twinkle just super bright.... surely others must have seen them but we never heard any reports about them. I thought of calling the kahului (OGG) tower or FAA but decided not to... a decision I now regret as others may have reported it... I also considered 911 but didn't...I know the elevations of the mountains so my altitude is accurate... and I fly out of here...they were first in a straight line not quite a echelon formation but very steady and precise..then 2 peeled off to kahoolawe with just a whisp of a green tail almost none... at the closest they were about 1 mile away and no sound at all..... we see F-15's, F-16's, F-22's, and A-10's but we would have heard them... they were things we never saw before..... my girlfriend and I saw red ones 40yrs. ago but won't go into it at this time....these green ones were so different and we knew we all saw something that is either top secret or not of this world so I decided to contact you..you can print my story but don't use my name please..I can draw you a diagram if you wish."
