Witness Testimony

"I was camping at Owl Canyon about 10 miles north of Barstow, Ca. I was in my Rv sitting in the cockpit watching the stars. No one else was in the campground that I am aware of. The distance between the western and eastern ridges of the canyon is about a quarter of a mile. I was facing toward the south at the open end of the canyon. I observed the first light come over the western ridge. It was followed by 6 more lights. As the first light got to about half way across the canyon I began to hear a very soft whirring or humming sound. As the first light got over the eastern ridge the last light came over the western ridge. At first, because of the sound and stiffness of the object I thought it might be a blimp. The lights were not that high or that far from me and I am certain it was not a blimp. There was no structure I could see, only lights. I then thought it might be balloons or the lights sometimes released as a celebration. However the lights never wavered and the distance between them was constant. The lights were a bright red and square. They were all equal distance from each other. . . . . . . .The dots above show the placement of the lights. I was too awed at the time to think about taking a picture with my phone. The lights were moving right to left in the diagram. The last light farther to the right was blinking. As the lights were over the ridge in the eastern sky they suddenly turned white except for the last one which remained red. Then they all suddenly disappeared. I want to emphasize that they stayed rigid and the distance between them was constant but I could determine no structure, just lights. Also the movement was very slow, maybe 5 mph or so."
