Witness Testimony

"I was in my backyard with my son ( 38 years old) doing some star gazing. I have a 12" skywatcher 300p telescope so we Do get out as often as we can when the sky is clear enough. We had been looking at pleiades through the scope and was having a small break and a chat ( cig time ). We were both gazing at the sky when i saw what i thought was a shooting star. Pointing, I said to my son there's a shooting star. He said "yes i see it". As it shot across the sky we watched. It was moving from east to west direction. It seemed to change direction very slightly toward the north as it went. THEN at about 45 degrees toward the horizon. it suddenly shot off to the south direction. We both saw this and said that ain't no shooting star. As this was Christmas eve we both said it must have been santa (Laughing). But we both agreed it was not a shooting star. "
