"On January 31st at around 7:20pm I stepped outside to look for the two owls I heard earlier. I noticed the sky was clear and the stars were out so walked to the end of my driveway to get my Sunday paper looking at the stars as I walked. Standing by my mailbox facing south I suddenly noticed an orange light in the sky moving west to east quite fast. It was about 45 degrees off the horizon. It was an orange oval which appeared about the size of a fun size candy bar at arms length. The light first appeared in the west and traveled in a straight line to the east. It remained in the sky for approximately 8seconds then flashed brightly and disappeared. I stood by my mail box in awe. A few seconds later I saw a shooting star directly overhead. "
