Witness Testimony

"I was letting my dogs outside, as I usually do before bed, and looked up to observe the night sky. I noticed this brightly flickering/flashing light that was changing at least 3 colors, maybe 4. The colors where white, red, and blue and or green. I watched it thinking it must be a planet(although my gut told me itseemed to large). I have very little knowledge of astronomy. I asked my wife to look too. I watched it for 5-10 minutes to see if it would move. When it didn't move I decided to go turn in for the night. It took about 15 minutes to get ready for bed when I decided to see if it was still there. When I got outside again to look it was gone. There was a slight, patchy, and thin cloud cover that was not there 15 min prior. Although the cloud cover I could still see stars in that area of the sky that I had seen earlier when observing the flickering flashing light. Thought I migh be crazy so asked my wife to look and she saw no more sign of it either. Looking w sw from my house it looked like it should have been over or in the direction of BTV airport. "
