Witness Testimony

"I was standing in the backyard around 9:15 pm stargazing with my wife using my binoculars, normally with my 8" scope, but spotting with the binoculars for the evening. I always concentrate around the Belt of Orion area, my favorite star gazing target. Decided to expand my scanning to the West of the Belt, randomly. I noticed three "stars", about 30 degrees West of the Belt, that I normally have never noticed before, they were standing still and in a random pattern, no symmetry. I still thought they were just random "stars", but curiosity kept me examining them through the binoculars. I soon as I really took a good look through the binoculars at the three "stars", it was if they knew I was looking at them and all three took off in random directions, one took off East, one went West, and the third did an Immelmann turn and headed South, very, very quickly, disappearing in seconds. I was excited, awestruck, and explained to my wife (standing five feet away) what I just saw. I kept searching for a few minutes and could not relocate. These "stars" were at a very high altitude, if not out of the atmosphere. There were no trails, plumes, or streaks when they shot away. They took off and like a light turning off disappeared.The three objects scattered in three random directions in a couple of seconds. Disappearing after only seconds of moving away. "
