Witness Testimony

"I have witnessed this particular type of occurrence approximately 25 times in the last 7 years. it occurs most frequently in the month of september for some reason. on sunday the 4th 2016 i first noticed it at 7:53 pm and it ended at 8:00 pm. there was scattered overcast on the 5 th and i didn,t see anything. on the 6 th i noticed it at 7:45 pm and it ended at 7:51 pm. on the 7 th i again noticed it at 7:43 pm and it ended at 7:46 pm. last night on the 8th it started at 7.35 pm and ended at 7:48 pm. as i stated above it burns like a white phosphorus military flare except i have never seen a military plane in the area when it occurs. additionally, when it terminates it breaks up in a shower of burning fragments falling downward and leaving a trail of smoke behind. however, almost always one of the larger fragments stops after about 1000 to 1500 feet and remains stationary for 15 to 30 seconds. last night there were 4 commercial airline planes transiting the area during the burn. one was further south than the other 3 and may not have seen it, but 3 of them traveling due west, it would have been about 10 degrees to the north of their flight path. these sightings have taken place looking due west with the object at about 70 degrees above the horizon. oddly enough that places them approximately over downtown ft worth. i do not know what they are nor will i speculate on their origin. contact me at the above phone number or email address if you have further questions.
