"I was taking the garbage out to the dumpster outside in the parking lot at my apartment complex at 9:15pm. (september 14? not 100% sure of date) i looked up at the mountains and saw a glowing flaming object flying across the sky. west to east direction right over my head and over the town of fernie b.C. it was lower then a plane would fly. at first i thought it was a meteor; however it kept flying a straight controlled path. it left a long white trail behind the flaming ball and was moving at a high rate of speed. by the time i got out my camera phone to record the object it was already out of sight, into the valley between the mountains. i was not surprised or scared, simply unable to identify what i saw. said to myself: i think i just saw a ufo and laughed. i told my wife about it when i got inside. she suggested i report it to mufon. "
