Witness Testimony

"I wish to state that my mom and myself witnessed this separately on st. patrick's night but neither of us drink alcohol nor had taken any medications. we had run errands during day/evening and stopped to eat before taking mom home. i approached and stopped at the stop sign on mom's block after dropping her off at home about 9:30 pm. i looked to my east and noticed a very bright fully illuminated orange orb/sphere about the size of a large beach ball about 300-500 feet above street level and about a block away. my first thought was is it a helicopter but the light was orange not red/white. i lowered my window and there was no noise. the sphere continued toward my mom's house and neigbor's house in back and then completely disappeared (may have witnessed this for about 10 seconds). i was in the process of backing my car back up to my mom's driveway when it disappeared never seeing the light waiver or blink out. i went to get mom and we watched outside for 10 minutes and didn't see the orb again so i went home. i know this was not a plane, helicopter, chines lantern, drone or a balloon. the night was clear with no clouds in sight, no wind and good visibility of the starfield and planes flying very high overhead. i've never seen an orange light/sphere like this before and have no idea what it was. mom forgot to bring her snailmail out with us earlier. about an hour later mom left to drop her bills off at the post office around 10:25 pm. as she approached the same stop sign and looked off to her east she witnessed the orange orb/sphere further off above the treeline and stated it was also heading north and just disappeared after a few seconds. she also lowered her window to listen and never heard a sound. she then phoned me to report she had just witnessed the exact same thing i did the hour earlier but stated it seemed to be a few blocks further off. she also feels that this is not a plane, drone, etc. she doesn't know what it is either.
