Witness Testimony

"Near dusk, almost straight overhead, in my backyard, i noticed what looked like a very small moon, too large to be a star or planet. my attention was drawn to it because the sky was still too light for stars to be visible. thru binoculars it looked like a small full moon. the outer most portion looked brightest with the interior mottled. the sun had just set but i suspected that this object was high enough in the sky that it might have still been illuminated by the sun. i was on the phone with my friend and he suggested it might be a weather balloon. i think that could be a reasonable explanation but i had never seen a weather balloon before. i watched it for 20 minutes or so and it ever so slowly "drifted" to the east. as it moved enough to become obscured by the forest i stopped watching it.
