Witness Testimony

"I was outside smoking a cigarette. it was roughly 11:45-12:00 midnight throughout the duration of the event. i chose to turn off the back light and view the stars as it was a mostly clear night. for some reason, this particular light, that looked very much like a star, stood out to me. i fixated on it and, after a short time, i witnessed it move. in the following 10-15 minutes, i watched it move several times, not following any flight pattern that a satellite or plane would. twice, i saw a faint emission of color leave the light, flowing like an aurora but pale in color. i also saw the light quickly and faintly change colors twice. while it was white in appearance 95% of the time, it did twice change to red, then purple. to be certain it was moving, i stabilized myself and used a tree branch for reference, which would be accurate as there was no wind to sway the branches. on numerous occasions i watched it dip behind the tree branches and subsequently be obscured from my sight. i attempted to take a photo and/or video, but was unable to do so."
