Witness Testimony

"At approximately 2130 hours I had stepped out of my home and headed to my car which was parked in my carport. I was with my female cousin, age 26. I am 50 years old. I am a former paramedic and veteran police officer with HPD. As I was about to enter my car I saw in the reflection of my driver's side window an orange light. I turned around and looked towards the West and immediately saw what appeared to be 12-15 Orange balls of light moving East in a scattered formation. The objects made no sound and were very high in the clear, night sky. I got the attention of my cousin and she became very excited. We both ran out into the street and watched as these brightly lit orange-colored objects moved into a rectangle and then triangle formation. They appeared to be only several hundred feet up, but after looking at the area that we saw them, it is very clear that they were very high in altitude and must have been very large objects. We also noticed that behind and below these objects were flashes of white light that appeared to be coming from the ground. They looked like search light beams...the kind that used to be used to announce a carnival or sales event. The light was aimed directly at the objects. When the lights made contact with the objects they began to rise in altitude and began to disappear one at a time. Thinking about what they resembled...one thought came to mind...illuminated Chinese lanterns. However, these were definitely not lanterns in that their movements were in geometrical formations. Most incredible event I have ever witnessed! Other neighbors have stated that they witnessed it too. I have very poor cell phone video and stills. Will try to enhance and post. Aloha from Hawaii!"
