SIGHTING: CEDAR BEACH LONG ISLAND

Witness Testimony

"i was at cedar in the back by the inlet to the harbor at about 2:30 or 3:00 am ..i noticed comming from the east what appeared to be a helicopter flying real low.. it was quite a distance away . as it approached the lights that were on the front of the craft seemed to bright and from inside my truck i did not hear any noise ...i got out of my truck to see if i could hear it , there was no sound . by this time it was getting pretty close and i could see some shape ..it was noy a heliocopter and it was at tree top height and moving real slow..it past over me and my truck , it was so low i could have hit it with a rock. it was round in shape with the back of it sor of cut off flat . it had yellow,white lights on the front and three that i could see on the top ..the top was dome shaped ...on the underside there was a rounr ring of rotating bright red lights ..it passed over real slow moving to the west as it moved away towards the west thats when i saw that the rear of what ever it was was kind of flat and there were 6 yellow/white lights across it ...it moved very slow out over the dunes by port jefferson and went out of view heading west towards the city. when i got home a few minutes later i drew pictures of what i had seen ..of coarse i didnt have my camera with me the memory card was full and i left t home ...i would have gotten some great pictures ..it was so close and moving slow..."
