SIGHTING: NORTHWEST ARKANSAS

Witness Testimony

"Noticed flashes of light while I was driving home. It looked like lightening lighting up the sky. It was a misty night but hadn't noticed or heard any thunder/lightening all evening. Then this bright white light moving towards me heading north to the northwest appeared. It was about 500 to 600 feet in the air and was moving at a steady but not super quick speed. I would guess under 100 knots. The light was probably the size of a helicopter but so bright that it was almost blinding if you looked directly at it. There was a showering type effect coming off of it like a sparkler and it looked or seemed gold in color. I was alone so was not able to record or use my phone while driving. When I finally pulled over it would have been directly behind my vehicle and I got out to view it and there was nothing. The light had disappeared and I could not hear a sound. So, if it had been a helicopter or low flying plane I should have heard the engine props of the plane. I was approximately 3 miles west of Hiwasse, Arkansas on Hwy. 72. The time would have been about 7:30 pm. I was hoping someone else reported or recorded this event? I would really like to know what it was or wasn't ? Thank You"
