Witness Testimony

"In mid-afternoon I saw something strange that I have never seen before or since from the deck of my home, looking north-north east. A front was moving in from the south, and I was watching to see how fast and severe it looked, when I noticed about a quarter of the sky in front of the cloud line some odd vapor forming. Thinking it was just new clouds forming I was interested to see how quickly they would form up, but instead I noticed how strange it was. If you were to take a large version of a flattened oval glass bowl, upsidedown, super cool it with Nitrogen or Helium and watch the air form condensing vapor ripples over it from below, that is about the best description I can give. The vapor ripples seemed to be forming from east to west, and were slowly drawn north over this point picking up a little speed as they were drawn to 2 spots that appeared more like white clouds, but were shaped to appear as narrow jets drawing the vapor to them and being pushed out from the spot, about one fifth the circumference of the spot from each other, one pointed NWthe other more NNE. It stayed motionless until the cloud line moved past it, taking it from view. I did try to report this to NASA, but the person incharge was on vacation, and never contacted me after their return. No solid object was ever visible, but after I could not see it for the clouds, I suddenly felt very afraid, and the hair on my neck and arms seemed to stand up for 20 minutes. I reported this because if it is a security issue, I am only 20 miles or so from SAC AFB, in an area often used for the circling flight path of jets. If this was 1000 feet up, it was easily large enough to hide something the size of a learjet, if it was at cruising height for airliners, you could have put 6 to 9 large airliners in it. I mostly was wondering if anything like this has ever been reported before, or since. Thank you. Mitch Poehling."
