Witness Testimony

"UFO seen near Lake Tahoe, CA - emanated orange beam - scary as hellMy friend and I went out to watch meteors of the Perseid. We saw a huge orange one streak across the sky - I followed its path in the reverse direction, and saw what looked like a moving star. I said to my friend - "Mike - that looks like a satellite" He said yep, I see it. We watched it for a few seconds (it was weird - we both noted that the meteor seemed to start exactly where we first noticed this anomoly), and I thought it was a satellite like I had seem many times as a kid. Then, to our bewilderment, a yellow/orange beam or fire streak emanated from the bottom of it and went straight down towards the ground. We both exclaimed "what the fuck!!". Then watched it in panic as we realized it was not a satellite, and much much closer. The object then appeared to slow down (turn) and appeared to come towards us. It then started to get extremely bright such that it reflected over the lake we were near. I was in complete panic at t! his point. The object then slowed, and got dimmer, turned, and disappeared over a mountain.
