Witness Testimony

"3 winged clyindrical shaped aircraft disappeared out of site.On 07-10-2011, I was on duty and conducting a patrol in a canyon, in the White mountains off of HWY 6, Approximately 10 miles north of Bishop, CA. I was traveling east into the canyon in the White mountains, when I looked North East over the canyon wall at the 11 o'clock position from my eastwardly direction of travel.I noticed a white cylindrical object, traveling west down canyon at a moderate rate of speed, similar to that of a passenger jet. It was at an approximated 45 degree angel form the horizon. It was hard to judge distance, but was approximately 1 to 2 miles out. I cut off the engine in my patrol vehicle and did not here any jet or airplane noise. It was completely silent, which given the distance it was form me, I expected to here some sort of noise.I looked at the object through my binoculars. It was completely white, appeared to have 3 wings or fins, 1 coming out of the top and one on each side like a regular airplane. I could see no tail numbers,windows, or vapor trail. Approximately 2 minutes passed and it is now at my 7 O'clock. I went to the front of my vehicle to steady my binoculars on the push bumper. I was unable to get at look at it while I was steadied. It was now clear of the canyon walls and almost over the valley approaching a small community. The community was approximately 5 miles away.I saw it with my naked eye pulled my binoculars to my eyes and could not find the object. I put the binoculars down and it was gone. That lasted about 3 to 5 seconds. There is no way a normal aircraft could have traveled fast enough in that short amount of time to disappear. I watched the sky for approximately 2 minutes and it never reappeared.((NUFORC Note: Report from law enforcement officer. PD))((ADDENDUM FROM WITNESS))Unfortunately it was back-dropped entirely by the sky. An estimation of size and distance would be almost impossible. When I first saw it, it was barely above the canyon walls. It was completely in the open over the east side of the valley, with no place for it to hide, when it seemed to disappear. I have been in the area for a little over 3 years, and never seen anything like it before. There are several air force bases south of Bishop, CA. Jets and other aircraft frequent the valley. This was not an aircraft I have seen before.It is a very rural area i was in. The craft disappearing before it reached the small satellite community, seem suspicious.((END ADDENDUM)) "
