"3 silent flashes in the cloud followed later with stone silence.I remember camping with a friend at the river bottoms of the snakeriver. I saw a cloud due west of the ferry butte and at about 11:30 pm I saw a flash it was a brillant white like lightning except no thunder it occured three diffrent times very weird never experianced anything like it later that night weird things happened like the trees would shake with no wind and stone silence happened at about 3 am we got scared and left the area never to return this happened by tilden bridge across from the indian reservation. it was so silent that I couldn't even hear the river which was very odd and the german shepard dog my friend had was scared also with it's tail between the legs under the truck. scareiest moment of my life and also my freind.((NUFORC Note: Witness indicates that date of incident is approximate.
