"Diamond shaped object over MosulDuring my first deployment, we had come in contact at a hazardous intersection. Something caused me to look at the sky when it started, and I saw the damndest thing, a diamond-shaped object stationary in the sky. It was high, I can't judge elevation at all, but it was high enough I'm surprised I saw it. We had rotary wing assets in the sky at the time, and they can't fly that high, so it wasn't them. It was diamond-shaped, stationary, by itself, and so high, giving me some degree of certainty that it wasn't ours at all.
