Witness Testimony

"I was at my friends house near 2nd north in Preston, ID; we went outside to get a couple of fireworks prepped for new years. we were on his porch and i saw what i thought to be a mortar, but it seemed very far away and moving very slow plus we didn't hear anything go off. it looked like a steady fireball, no flickering just a solid glow. it seemed to be getting larger as if it were traveling N/NW and upwards. then right about were the tree line is it gradually turned and went E/NE towards the Moon. it was about this point we started to think that this might be a rocket or missile. now it was slightly overcast especially near the moon, once it headed the new direction it began to disappear behind the clouds, so it was "up there". by this time we had grabbed a pair of binoculars and though it still looked very far away it looked like a rockets flare. we started to joke "well i guess the mayans were a few days off" then about 30 sec maybe a minute later a second one appeared. kinda freaked me out. it did the exact same thing as the first one. now it's fairly dark so the brightest things out are the street lamps, moon and whatever these 2 things were. i took a picture of the first one but it's really not the greatest pic ever and i also recorded a video of both of them. sadly my phone's battery died before i could save it. so i have unusable .mp4 and mp4.tmp files on my phone and backup card in case i can figure out how to recover it.
