Witness Testimony

"I was on the back of a motorbike on our way to catch the ferry from Dover to Boulogne,about 5miles from the port of Dover,it was immediately before the war with the Falkland Isles in 1982.A fullish moon and a clear night I saw a large metallic object with a dull sheen to my right(south),I knew it was something odd as it made no sound was very large and had no lights except the reflected moonlight.It remained stationary and silent in the sky to my right for about 90seconds,I didn't alert the driver as I didn't want to take my eyes off it and thought it would be gone by the time he had stopped to look.I was right,it suddenly moved without accelaration or sound at lightening speed in a straight line acrooss the sky heading north.I have no explanation of what it was but I felt I knew it was a ufo as soon as I saw it,I was aware that our military were likely to be around because of the impending Falklands conflict so I had to discount their aircraft which was easy to do once it moved.
