Witness Testimony

"I was standing outside when I noticed 2 extremely bright, pure white, rapidly flashing lights on an object at below normal cruising height. Llanelli is a coastal town and the object was moving from the coast inland at very high speed. The lights were pure white and created a cone shaped "loom" when they were on. They flashed at about 2 flashes per second and were synchronous.There was no sound and the whole episode lasted slightly less than 2 minutes. There were no coloured navigation lights. The lights shone downwards from the body of whatever it was.I believe I also saw the same object in 2008 on the evening of the 9th August at just after midnight though this time the lights only flashed twice in rapid succession. Again I could not see the object itself just the bright lights creating a cone shaped loom.(It was my birthday so I know the date and time)Just for reference Llanelli is quite close to RAF St Athan (well close if you're in a rapidly moving aircraft anyway). It was at RAF St Athan where last year there was a report of a police helicopter chasing an UFO over the Bristol Channel.I live underneath the flight path for 2 airports so I know what ordinary planes look like. This was definitely not a normally illuminated commercial aircraft though it might well have been military as I don't know what lights they use. I was staying with family members so you appreciate that this wasn't something flying near my home and although there were other aeroplanes in the sky at higher altitude they were slower moving and all had red/green navigation lights and even their white lights were of a very different hue.Just for completeness this was not a satellite, nor a natural body, not the planet Venus, and hence my filing."
