Witness Testimony

"I was in my conservatory looking up at the sky at around 2.30am. it was a brilliant night and i was looking out at the stars and thinking about life elsewhere in the universe. i remembered a video i saw where a man claimed to be able to summon ufo's by thought and just out of curiosity and boredom i decided to give it a try, not expecting anything to happen. i put a thought out into the ether, saying if you're out there, give me a sign. within about a minute i saw a sudden flash, near the foot of orion, like a star blinking into existence suddenly and then vanishing. i watched the area for a while and then it happened again about 30 seconds later. i watched this phenomenon for around half an hour, the light suddenly appearing and vanishing in the same position in 30 second to one minute intervals. eventually i decided to go outside to get a better look, but then it stopped. it was definitely not a star as i am familiar with the constellations and it was in the vicinity of orion and definitely not part of that constellation. it was not an aircraft, as i live near bristol airport and i am familiar with the aircraft coming and going from there. it was not a satellite or the space station or falling space debris as it was stationary for half an hour. it could conceivably have been a drone, but who flys drones at 2.30 am?"
