SIGHTING: OUTSIDE BATH

Witness Testimony

"I was driving towards my wife's place of work which is a hospital on the outskirts of Bath. It was a cold night - the sky was black and full of stars - Im a keen Amateur Astronomer and when it was safe to do so I looked at the night sky in awe. When I say the hospital is on the outskirts of Bath I should also mention that to get to the hospital you drive out of my home town towards Radstock and just before (1 - 2miles) the town centre you follow a single track road which in places is barely a cars width and the road surface is littered with pot holes. Nevertheless the cut-through saves you a substantial amount of time. As I entered the cut through I was listening to the radio - the sky was black and the stars shone in all their majesty - rather jokingly I mused "What if I saw a UFO, what would I do". There's a small bridge approx half-way through this cut through and as passed under it I started to climb up the hill and to my right I glanced a large black triangle which must have passed over my car and silently glided across the hill to my right. I couldn't take a photograph as I was going up the hill and couldn't stop because of the ever present danger of oncoming traffic. This triangle was huge approx 100ft wide by 200 ft in length and 40ft off the ground - it had lights on all 3 apex's as well as a soft blue light in its centre - the blue light seemed to highlight markings or geometric lines under the craft. It made no sound and simply glided across the hill at a painfully slow speed - now my knowledge of Physics tells me that an object of that size travelling at a slow speed should just fall out of the sky - maybe approx 40mph? Now baring in mind this was a starlit sky - the object was blacker than the night sky - how? As I turned the corner of the hill, there was a man stood outside his car and although I didn't stop to speak to him - he turned around and got back in his car and drove away. I collected my wife and a work colleague of hers and mentioned my exciting news - her colleague said there always flying drones around here - but I knew it wasn't a drone - it was way too big and silent. As to what the object was I couldn't say, even as I write this I still can't bring myself to believe I saw something unusual that night - but I did. The day after I scoured the local papers to see if anyone else had seen the object but all to no avail. "
