Witness Testimony

"At approx. 05:40 standing in my side door I observed a very bright object due west. The object was silent in the still morning air. After approx. 2 minutes, it began to move SE slowly and without sound. I worked in aviation for 6 years and am familiar with flight patterns of both rotary and fixed wing aircraft. At first I thought an aircraft with landing lights, but as the object started to move SE, the lights did not change as they would have if forward facing landing lights were the source. It was NOT a rotary wing craft as that would have been easily heard in the still morning air. The object continued its course SE until it faded from view. I could only speculate on the altitude as 3000 feet. I used my door frame and neighbors roof as a fixed reference points during my observation. Unfortunatly, I did not obtain video. I now keep a high def camcorder near the door. "
