"My wife and I were driving west on HWY 98 through franklin county, FL to visit family. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed what looked like a shooting star moving from south over the Gulf of Mexico to approximately N or NW heading, but when I fixed my sight on the object it still had not disappeared. At that point I point it out to my wife and she confirmed she also seen the object. The object appeared to be a "ball" of light moving to fast to be an airplane but to slow to be a shooting star. When I first noticed it the object was over the Gulf and approximately 10 to 15 seconds later it vanished over land. At that point I realized that was nothing I have ever seen before. The object just vanished at what I believe was a "burst" of super fast speed."
