Witness Testimony

"I was with my girlfriend at Chichén Itzá to see the 'light & sound show' on Friday the 13th of February 2015 between 19:00 and 20:00. It was a clear night and we could see the stars. At approximately 19:15, before the 'light & sound show' began, my girlfriend pointed to a "star" in the sky. My girlfriend and I saw a straight line of white light rapidly changing direction in the night sky. After a few seconds, I realised that it wasn't a star or a plane. My girlfriend agreed that it was "strange" and that it wasn't a star or a plane. It appeared to be quite high above the Cenote Sagrado de Chichén Itzá.I took two photos of the 'object' with a digital camera, using the zoom lens and no flash. I regretted not recording a video. After about a minute, the 'object' disappeared. Immediately after the sighting, I continued to take photos of the pyramid at Chichén Itzá. As far as I know, this was my first sighting of a 'UFO'.I later discovered that there's a disused aerodrome nearby. However, the 'object' appeared to be larger than a model aircraft and moved and changed direction rapidly in straight lines, both horizontally and vertically, not like any aircraft I've seen before. It was nothing like a shooting star or comet. As far as I know, the lights used in the show are simply projectors used to project images onto solid surfaces. The light we saw appeared to be coming from the sky, away from solid surfaces."
