Witness Testimony

"I awoke around 4am surprised to hear my dog barking and growling, the neighborhood dogs where at it too. This was and is the only time that has ever happened in my 3 years living here. I got up and noticed my husband had not left for work yet. I looked out the window to my backyard facing due South and noticed an unusually bright star on the horizon between two houses. As I looked at the star it began to grow in brightness. At first I thought maybe it was some cosmic event taking place and I yelled for my husband to come look. He had somehow managed to leave without hearing me calling for him. I walked outside to get a better look. The light continued to grow in size. It was the brightest white light I have ever seen. It was very hard to look at. As the light got bigger and brighter it was coming closer and then I realized it was a craft of some sort. It was hard to make out the shape because it was dark outside, but I could make out multicolored lights in a triangular shape. The front of the craft appeared to be illuminated entirely by the pure white light. It was not a spotlight or one point of light. The other lights under it were very pure in color and brightness. As it was flying by I noticed that the lights were flashing in a pattern. A few would light up separately then they would blink a very fast sequence together. This slow then fast light pattern repeated. I watched the craft fly over my neighborhood and I walked through my house to the front that faces north and watched the object disappear above some clouds. It did produce a sort of low hum as it passed. The dogs stopped barking after the craft was out of sight. My childhood friend and I saw this same thing back in the 1980's in central Texas at night and it manifested in the exact same way. I would like to know if anyone else saw this and if they know what it was. If it was a regular plane, why the weird lighting?"
