Witness Testimony

"Was up late earlier this week, not completely sure of the date, Monday or Tuesday I think, and happened to look out the window toward the west of my location at around 0300 and spotted what appeared to be a small distant reddish star right over the tree line across the private lake I live on. The sky was very clear, lots of stars visible. Initially I though it might be Mars, though it caught my attention right away as unusual because it was redder and brighter with some yellowish color, and it appeared to be sort of quickly oscillating or darting around side to side up and down, around ect. in tight zone, but was not moving on a clear trajectory like a satellite or plan. It was just hovering and darting about in a more or less generally fixed area over the tree line. The surrounding stars were white and of course still. But I still squinted and held up my hand because I thought my eyes were playing tricks due to reflection of blind slats on window. So I ran outside on back porch to get a clearer view and it was still in the same general area over the tree line. Was not too easy to see oscillations, but it was definitely changing positions rapidly, though in a very tight area, in the same zone for about half an hour before it finally moved below tree line and out of sight. It definitely was NOT a star, satellite, planet, or airplane. No engine noise of any sort either. Due to small relative size from my perspective (about how Mars appears, like a reddish star), and its tight oscillations, I get the impression it was pretty far off, maybe where I placed the marker on your map, me observing it a few miles to the east of it maybe. Difficult to say how big or far away it was. The only man-made thing I would expect might give that appearance of dancing light in a relatively fixed zone like that for so long would be maybe a drone. I really don't think it was a helicopter. The lights did not blink mechanically like a man-made aircraft do. But the reddish/yellowish light did appear to flicker or twinkle more noticeably than the stars around it. A drone moving about may have caused that effect from afar. But I just can't imagine someone being out at 0300 on a cold night hovering a drone there for so long. I would expect even a drone would not be held in such a fixed spot for so long. But that's probably plausible. That's what a drone at night would have looked like I'm sure. I did some googling to try and see if others around Walhalla reported anything recently but I guess not. Moast were in bed and it's not a very populated area either.
