Witness Testimony

"In North Haven at 9:45pm I was sitting in my backyard spa looking at the night sky when a triangular aircraft flew directly above and over me.
The aircraft was either a large dark coloured (or black) single triangle with a triangular central hole in it, or a set of three smaller triangles that were joined at the points to form a pyramid shaped larger triangle. It may also have been three individual triangles flying in a very tight formation. The aircraft was approximately twice the size of a full moon in diameter. I only saw it from directly underneath so I don't have any way to determine how high it was. My gut feeling was that it was approximately 150-500ft from the ground but it could have been much higher and travelling very fast.
There was no sound associated with its transit. The lack of sound was one of the stand-out features that made it so unusual.
My field of view was limited to the gap between my pergola and my back fence (~30 degrees) and it took the aircraft five to eight seconds to transit across it.
At first I though it may have been three Super Hornets in formation and flying high but it soon became obvious that it was more triangular than a Hornet and they would have had to be flying very fast. It would also have made a distinctive noise if it was a formation of Hornets. I then thought it may have been three large birds flying in a chevron formation. No flapping was seen from the triangles and I also noticed that both the leading and trailing edges of the aircraft were very straight/smooth. The triangles also looked like they were travelling quickly (~100kph if I was going to make a guess).
The aircraft was tracking from South to North. Ambient Conditions:
Wind: 0-3kts
Cloud: 0/8
Moon: Waning Crescent (half moon)
Temp: ~ 21c Ambient Noise: A very quiet night with no noise from traffic, neighbours, ASC or the Container Terminal.
Visibility: clear to the horizon. Jupiter clearly visible with minimal twinkle evident. The moon clearly illuminated the triangles so it was easy to identify the three dark triangular areas and see the lighter coloured triangular gap of the night sky in the middle. No glint or reflection was seen from the triangles.
I contacted the Port Adelaide Police Station at 10:30pm to see if anyone else had seen any flying triangles in the area. None had been reported.
I'm very familiar with both civilian and military aircraft recognition features and I have not seen or heard of anything that comes close to what I saw. "
