Witness Testimony

"I was driving about 1 mile from my home and was on the phone at the time. There were trees along the road to the right. I was going up a hill and there is a house at the top of the hill on the right. Just as I cleared the trees (right where the house is), I think I must have seen something in my peripheral vision and looked up above the house and there was a bright silver object hovering over and behind the house. Then there were trees blocking my view again. I only saw it for a few seconds. I should have turned around and gone back but I thought maybe when I turned at the bottom of the hill, I would see it above the trees but I didn't. It was an oblong shape, upright, with a round dome-like top then widened into sort of a lip and then went back in and then there was a longer section on the bottom. It was very shiny like polished chrome and was probably about 20-30 feet long and 12-15 feet wide at its widest point. I was very close to it, probably 200-300 feet. I have never seen anything like it before. As a matter of fact I have never seen anything that I remotely thought might be a UFO and I am 60 years old. I drove back by there later to see if there was anything that I could have seen that looked like the object and there is nothing there. No poles with lights, etc, nothing except air. It could not have been a balloon or inflatable kite because it was completely still. There was no movement at all. "
