Witness Testimony

"All times are approximate. I left my apartment near Lafayette HS around 5:30am and first saw the object as I approached the intersection of Ambassador Caffery and the new Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. I was traveling toward the intersection of Ambassador Caffery and Verot School Rd. I looked toward the hospital and saw the object hovering over the tree line behind the hospital. At first glance my thoughts were that it was an airplane leaving one of those trails behind it, but then noticed it was odd looking. It had clearly defined edges, was much brighter than one of those airplane trails, almost like it was burning, and it appeared much closer than I'd originally thought. It didn't grow longer or move at all and the shape of it just seemed off so I couldn't take my eyes off it. Approximately 1/4 mile past the hospital are some office buildings called Córdoba and that's where I was heading as I needed to drop something off at my father's office. I ran into the building, dropped off my things, jumped back in my car, and pulled out onto Ambassador Caffery again. The object was still there! I didn't look at the clock but my best guess is that about 7-8 minutes passed between my first sighting and the point at which I pulled back into the street. I drove past the hospital now going in the opposite direction and I pulled over into the CostCo parking lot to see if I could catch it on camera. I did get a video of it and I'll upload it here but sadly it's not very noticeable at all. I tried my best to focus my camera so that the object is in the center. If you're looking at the video you'll see only a teeny tiny light just above the tree line.(I tried to upload the video twice and it failed so if anyone has any tips let me know and I'll try again) I would estimate that the total time I observed it was between 10-15 minutes. Anyway, I got home and decided to Google "object in sky Lafayette Louisiana June 9 2017" and I did see a post on another site of a local resident seeing something 11 days ago. Really exciting! :) I'll be checking periodically today and over the next few days to see if anyone else here posts something here or elsewhere online. This is the first time I've seen something like this and really hope it isn't the last. "
