Witness Testimony

" Red glowing object flying by on a cloudy night.About 2 weeks ago, I was looking through my bedroom window around midnight. The sky was completely covered with clouds. Around 23:55 I saw a red light in the sky moving from the north-east to the south. Thinking it was just a plane, I didn't really pay much attention to it, until I noticed it was impossible for a plane to be visible because of the cloudy weather and the red light didn't flinch like those of a plane would. Because I'm an amateur astronomer I grabbed by binoculars as fast as I could. When I was back at the window with my binoculars the object was already halfway, so in the east direction. When I looked at the object I still had no idea what it was. It looked like an egg shaped object with a red light in it. Because it was very cloudy, I guess the light must have been very bright. Because no other objects were seen (stars, planes, ...) The object suddenly vanished and was never seen again. I discussed this sighting with others, but no one come up with an answer to what it could be. After searching on the web, I found similar pictures of red objects in the sky. One of the which looked the most to what I've seen was also in Belgium and also around midnight.
