Witness Testimony

"We were camping at coolwater campground about 18 miles down little river road in glide, oregon. after dark we stat around the campfire star gazing. at around 9:15 we saw an excellent shooting stat. we also saw a couple commercial airliners passing noth-south at high altitude. those were easily discernible with their red blinking lights and pattern of lights. also easily discernible were the various satellites moving through the sky. around 10:45pm we were still sitting by the campfire when i noticed a bright light through the trees to my right (west). it quickly came into view over the tree tops. because it did not look like anything we could identify, our thought was that it was a ufo. this bright white object was many times larger than how a star or a satellite would appear in the sky. it was about aspirin size if you were holding one at arms length. it was impossible to judge how high it was in the sky. it seemed to not have a perfect round shape and possibly had small spikes or rays. when we saw it, we both stood up and moved to the clear area away from the trees to watch it as long as possible. we were able to view it for about 8 seconds. it was definitely not a meteor. no other lights, no trail. no sound. we saw it make a "course correction" of some sort where it went in a curved trajectory of ne and then back to it's original path of e. the object then went out of view behind more trees and a hill."
