Witness Testimony

"Sitting outside on a clear night with bright moon. I look up a lot when I'm out at night so when I did, I saw a bright star- like light very high. I followed it because I was ruling out plane or helicopter or satellite by the lights and sound. It was brighter than those, too. As it travelled the few inches of sky I thought I could detect varying speed but very slight. Then it slowly dimmed as it went a few more inches until it was faded out completely. I strained to see if it was still there with lights off but couldn't see it. I got a phone call and I was explaining what I saw and just as I was about to write it off as a meteor or something I saw it come back on like a blink. Like if you turned your light on, counted ONE and shut it back off. It wasn't moving. It was sitting in the spot I saw it disappear. I couldn't see it except for the flash. Then I sat waiting for my fire to burn out. I kept checking that spot in the sky but didn't see anything else. "
