"At 12:30am I went out to close the blinds and caught sight of a bright round light in the clear night sky. It remained in the same spot in the west about the same hight a cessna flies. I thought it was a star or planet so I got out my star map app but nothing in that area showed as anything of significance. I watched it for about 20-30 mins and then it started to get brighter flashing strobes of greens, yellow orange and purple. The flashes were never a particular pattern or time sequence. The light and colors would get bright for some time then diminish in brightness. After about 30 mins it got bright again( brighter than any star or planet) and then it started to move up and down like a cork bobbing in water several times. Gaining height slightly and then bobbing back down slightly. It never moved side to side during this time. I would watch the city light below and see the object move in distance over and over. After about an hour it started moving off further away to the west till the light finally faded out of sight. There was no sound and no flashing lights like a drone would have. "
