Witness Testimony

"I had an exam first thing in the morning at Penn State behrend and figured that I'd get to campus early to look over notes. This campus is located on a hill with clear views of lake erie. While walking from the parking lot around 7am, I looked on the horizon, northwest toward lake Erie. I noticed multiple red objects flyinging in a non traditional path. My first thought was that these were light colored birds flying around looking for pretty at the base of campus (500yrds away) that we're reflecting red in the morning sun. I stopped and watched, and then realizing that these object must be much larger and farther away after comparing their motion, velocity and size in reference to trees at the base of campus and the lake shore much farther away. These orbs of red light appeared to be flying together all following a somewhat sinusoidal path of defifferent frequencies over the lake. I tried to watch as long as I could by chasing my view of them around trees but I lost sight after they flew behind a building on campus. I watched them for about 1 minute but they could have been there longer. After the fact I realized that I should have attempted to capture a phot, but it was too late. I am normally pretty aware of of our sky and can decern planes from helicopters and from drones and other objects at day and can locate planets and stars at night and determine earthly objects from visable satalites and such. On this occasion I could not find a logical explanation. "
