I noticed that it's the same time of year as this post from 10 years ago. From my bedroom window I've observed what appears to be an extremely vibrant star (with the brightness of a sun) appear in the sky, except it's flickering subtly like the flame of a candle. Slowly slowly moving downwards (so slowly you almost cant tell if it's moving). It's almost wiggling a little as it descends and then over the course of about 45mins it disappears behind the mountain. I noticed last night and tonight that the light appears to get brighter the closer it gets to the mountain ridge, and is so bright by the time it descends over the ridge that you can see the light bouncing off it even after it's not longer visible. The lack of more drastic light change and T shaped movement could possibly be explained by distance or a change in technology if this is the same thingy from 10 years ago. The first night I saw it the light was more silver colored, last night was a warmer gold/yellow light. Tonight it was warmer as well. It appeared in my window tonight and last night a bit before 8:30pm, and was gone by about 9:15/9:19. I wasn't paying very close attention to it the first night, so I can't say for sure... but I believe it was also around the same time. I took a crappy time-lapse of it tonight *in comments on original post is a SUPER crappy cellphone time lapse - I have a slightly better one on my canon that I can upload later*. Hopefully I can get my hands on a telescopic lens if it makes another appearance."
