"I was standing in my backyard, hanging out with some friends, at about dusk, the stars were just starting to show up. i like to just look and see where things are - seasonal movement of the constellations, planets, satellites... i noticed two "stars" one which i believed to be jupiter and the other seeming of the same size and on the same plane as i observed the two similar looking objects the one to the right (about the width of a hand at arm's length away)seemed to slightly pulse then dimmed like a car driving directly away from you at night (only taking maybe three or four seconds). i wasn't totally focused on it until it started to seem to fade. i was trying to determine what i was looking at when it did what ever it did and vanished from sight. i continued to observe the spot i last saw it over the course of a few hours with nothing else of note occurring."
