SIGHTING: KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI (UNITED STATES)

Witness Testimony

"I was driving northbound on 71 highway at 9:30am on wednesday sept 18th when i noticed a low flying jet traveling west to east over the highway. i was trying to identify the jet and thinking wow he is really low and flying slow. as i watched it fly over the highway a small white orb was directly in my line of sight behind the jet. my eyes stopped on the orb and i lost track of the jet as it headed to the east. i kept my eyes on the orb but had to try and understand what i was seeing. i put on my brakes to back off the cars in front of me and then refocused on the orb. there was a dull white orb hovering just to the east of the skyline. i couldn't tell its exact size or altitude. but it stayed perfectly still for about 20 seconds. i continued to slow down and tried to see if it was a helicopter or if i could see any marker lights. but it didn't have any lights or moving parts. i kept my eyes on it and i noticed it starting to get smaller and smaller before it quickly disappeared. i am pretty positive that it went from hovering to taking an extremely fast path to the north at a fixed altitude before it was too far away from me for me to see. i did not see the jet again after i was fixed on the orb but i am fairly positive that it was an f35. i have seen many aircraft moving to and from the downtown airport as well as to and from whiteman. however i have not seen an f35 around kansas city. both objects seemed out of place, let alone seeing what seemed like the jet circling around the hovering orb at a distance.
