"At around 3am, i got up to use the bathroom as i couldn't sleep. i walked across my living room and looked out of a skylight at a clear sky, stars and a bright moon. i then noticed directly straight up, what appeared to be a dark diamond shaped object, made up of maybe 4 different angled sides. i felt that i was looking directly up at its underneath. it sat motionless in the sky for at least a couple of minutes, totally static, totally silent, and no lights. i went to the bathroom for a minute or so, came back to the window and looked up, and had gone. a mutual friend who lives a couple of streets away also saw the same object. apparently it just vanished, very quickly.
