Witness Testimony

"Just see the most strangest thing that i cant explain. I have puzzled over it for a few weeks now, But have not braved talking to anyone. I have a very responsible job. I don't drink, i have never taken drugs and was in good health and halfway into a 6-mile walk in the early evening. I was walking a long a footpath/cyclepath to meet my wife as I was trying to get fitter. As i approached an old canal lock I noticed a small kid (Size of an 8-10 year old) coming towards me in the distance. The child appeared to have a limp. This was 3-miles from any houses other than two isolated ones and I thought that was weird and thought perhaps it was a kid that had fallen off a pushbike. I had no other theory as to why he would be there. He kept coming towards me and I stopped. i thought why have i stopped but i didnt move. I thought i need to move it was a bit like psychologically when you want to do something but cant be bothered. He came closer to within 20 feet of me and he was grey - totally grey but as the flare of the sunset cane through the trees he had an irridescent sheen that was a weak green. He ignored me an went through a gap in the hedge that led to a small open area. I was shocked I didn't know what to do. I looked through the clearing and he was there staring back at me. He had no expression at all and didn't move just looked at me. This may seem strange but that lack of expression seemed to tell me to stay away. I backed away and he walked forward and I lost him. I am 52 and had not run like that for years. I thought I cannot tell anyone about this, i will be a laughing stock and I haven't said a thing to anyone until now I have no idea what i saw. It was not someone dressed up. It was too small and you just could not get a shape/definition like that. he was about 40 inches tall. Tiny feet. tiny waist. forearms weirdly noticeable elbows. What was also really strange was his eyes. They were big, black with a tint of blue but for a flash went grey to appear as if he had no eyes at all but only for a very brief moment. My heart is still racing now. I am shivering writing this. And I have not braved the walk since. what was also strange is that I take that walk - or rather took regulerly. I takes me 1hr50 to 2 hours. I left home at 6pm to arrive at 8pm. Expecting enough time to grab something to drink to wait for my wife who would collect me from work at 8:20ish. I looked at my watch a while after this experience and thought bloody hell i'm late and just made it for 8:20 the encounter didnt seem to last 20-minutes. I am just so shook up i cant explain any of this. I had my phone but there was no way I could use it. At first It was a kid (or so I thought) so no reason to take a photograph. Then when i realised this was unexplainable I was stuck to the spot and couldn't even put one foot in front of the other. Then when I looked in the clearing and saw him. I felt very threatened he seemed to say - go or else. Any thoughts you can help with? "
