SIGHTING: SPRINGFIELD, MO (APPROX. 6 MILES SOUTHEAST)

Witness Testimony

"Unfortunately, I had no camera or phone with me. I had just gone out with my dog and looked up and saw this enormous triangle all lit up like a Christmas tree. It looked like it was very low, just over my treetops and it was going very slow and completely silent. I watched it slowly move over the trees and then it seemed to be going down. For a minute I thought it was landing. (perhaps in my west field) The lights shone brightly as the trees began to obscure it. I watched the lights until I could no longer see them. I should have run up my driveway away from the trees, but hindsight is 20/20. I stood there in awe. I have been keeping a careful watch on the skies since this happened. It was not a drone (way too big) it wasn't a balloon. It wasn't the moon; the moon was actually up, but much more to the southeast. Besides, I have never seen Christmas lights making a triangle on the moon. I slowly went through a list of things it looked like, but it was not explainable. To indicate size, I took an 8"x11" notebook outside the next day and held it up toward the sky where the craft had been. The craft had definitely been that big or slightly larger in the area that it obscured. I have tried to look for any reports of something like this in size, shape and colors but have found nothing online. Besides a Christmas tree, it also reminded me of a spear head with the "stalk" to attach it to the shaft. Has anyone reported anything like this? Since I didn't have any photos or videos, I hesitated to report it to anyone. Is there anyone else I should contact? Thanks for checking this out! Lisa "
