"At 9:30 the kids started getting texts that the aurora was out- so we went outside to view it. There were 2 bluish/white concentric circles overhead, with bluish/white streamers going off them to the north,east,and west- and blood red patches in the sky to the east, west, and sometimes north. Within 10 minutes, the rings started breaking up, and the streamers started blowing apart- but the red in the sky kept changing shape, and moving for about 20 minutes before it started to break up also- within an hour or so, there was nothing left to see. This was not the Aurora- I've never seen anything like a blood red sky at night- it was strange."
