"Me and a friend took a late drive out to Cape Arago State park,5 miles past Charelston ,Ore.we went out made the loop and stopped at a place on the way back called Sea lion lookout.It was about 11:45 on sat.the 10th 2015.I was taking some long exposure shots of the stars with my canon powershot sx170is.Just before we left I took another shot,just above the tree line facing east(approx) I had my camera set to auto,15 sec exposure,with a 2 sec. timer.Was not touching camera.And was in almost complete darkness.It was about 30 sec. later driving back did I see the object in the photo.Thought it was maybe just some line in the photo until I brought it up on my computer.Then I was able to zoom in and see that it was something,what, I don't know."
