" Red triangle seen over us Virgin Islands on New Year's Eve.My boyfriend and I were on a boat at a firework launch sight for a new years eve celebration. We were on our one minute countdown to midnight when, above our small island, rose a red inverted triangle. Each point of the triangle had a red light. At first my boyfriend thought they were flares but then we noticed they weren't moving AT ALL. At midnight, the fireworks went off and we lost sight. When I found them again during a break, the point of the triangle was on top instead of bottom, but the whole formation was in the same vicinity as before. Judging by distance, I would guess the object was about 100 ft on each side.
