"I was letting the dog out around 8:30 PM when I noticed a bright "star" low on the horizon. I could see other stars but there was a haze so they were not as bright. I thought it might be Mars. I kept watching it in relationship to the fixed lights on the horizon when I realized it was moving. I got a pair of high powered binoculars and then is when I could see it was glowed red on top and bottom with what looked like a pulsating brighter white light in the middle. It was quite far away so I could not make out any shape ( maybe diamond) but I thought the white light in the middle may be rotating which made it appear to pulsate. It must have been moving very slow because I observed it for about 15 minutes before it went below the horizon. I was very interested in the Montana sighting because it seemed similar. "
