Witness Testimony

"My son and I was watching for the northern lights off and on. My son looked out the front door and saw a bright object to our SW. He thought it was a star at first and told me to come see. We both noticed that this object was hovering with majority of it with bright white and blue, red and green lights running up to the top of it and to the bottom. I notice the time on my watch to see the duration it we notice it at 12:08 AM. I went to get binoculars and we both looked and seen the same. The objects lights were crisp with color. I decided to call the Sheriff's department to send a deputy to witness it. The duration of time of hovering was at 25 minutes and it slowly started to move away to the Southwest and lower to the horizon. It seemed to leave the area as the deputy arrived. It seemed like it new exactly where the deputy was. Of course we were embarrassed for not proving what we seen. I'm a military aircraft enthusiast and researched years on them. This was not a normal aircraft of military or civilian. My age is 44 and my son is 13. We would to tell our story or find out what we saw. I didn't really believe in UFOs but now I know they do exist. "
