SIGHTING: RATON, NEW MEXICO (UNITED STATES)

Witness Testimony

"As we were traveling, I noticed a very bright light in the sky, I watched it steadily for 20 minutes or so before recording. We recorded for a few moments and I also viewed the light while we pulled over on the side of the road through binoculars, not sure how powerful they were, but I was able to see a triangular shape that appeared to spin, and alternate colors between red, green and blue. The lights of the city of Raton are visible at the bottom of the frame, and provided a reference point while I was watching. The light did not appear to move at all, as we got closer the color changes were then visible. We saw the light until we made a right-hand turn onto I-25 going north through Raton Pass. As we were traveling through the pass, the light seemed to fade behind cloud cover. Another thing worth mentioning is that while viewing the object through binoculars, I could see the light reflecting off of near by small clouds in the immediate vicinity of the object."
